Meet Dawn Arceneaux, FNP-C.

A Family Nurse Practitioner with 30+ years in medicine, an FMCSA Certified Medical Examiner, and the person who keeps your card — and you — on the road.

Dawn Arceneaux, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Dawn P. Arceneaux is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of nursing experience dedicated to serving the families and communities of Acadiana. Born and raised in Louisiana, she understands the healthcare needs, cultural nuances, and lived experiences of the people of this region — and she brings that knowledge to every patient encounter.

Her credentials run deep: a Master’s degree in Nursing with an Adult Specialty and a Post-Master’s certificate in Family Nurse Practitioner studies. She is a certified Medical Examiner on the FMCSA National Registry, qualified to conduct Department of Transportation physicals, and an AHA authorized instructor teaching BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

In 2025 she founded DAB Health Innovations on a simple principle: every patient deserves a provider who knows their name, understands their history, and respects their community. DAB stands for “Dawn Altha Bernadette” — a tribute to her mother and grandmother. The Trucker’s NP is her brand built for the road: the same personal, whole-person care, delivered to the drivers whose health is their livelihood.

RECOGNITION

Presidential Award for Health in Community Service

A major credential reflecting decades of dedication to community health, advocacy, and service — a commitment to improving the health of underserved and vulnerable populations. For Dawn, it’s a responsibility to keep serving better and healing better.

“I drive long-haul for a living, and I’ve been through DOT physicals where the examiner barely looks up from the clipboard. Dawn actually explained my blood pressure numbers, talked to me about what I eat on the road, and helped me understand what the medical card process means. I was in and out same day with my card in hand.”
